Capacities:   YBC's vehicular bridges meet the same structural requirements as any other bridge material. All vehicular bridges are built to AASHTO HS20-44 highway bridge specifications (or greater when required), which have been previously approved by DOT's.

Longevity:   The life expectancy of a York Bridge designed to AASHTO design specifications is at least 50 years - this is the basis of the AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges. YBC combines these AASHTO-based designs with our use of upgraded materials and treatments, elevated craftsmanship standards and our 26 years of experience to create a long-lasting structure that requires minimal maintenance. Versatility:   All York Timber Vehicular Bridges are built on your site, creating a custom bridge which can cross almost any terrain – lakes, rivers, highways, elevation changes are no problem. Also unlike many other bridge types, you can also customize the appearance of your bridge with various types of guiderails, lumber types (including composites), span types, as well as many other options. You can also further enhance this unique structure by choosing a covered bridge. You will not be limited to only a few options due to the inflexibility of the material.

Time savings:   The lead time and limited availability of concrete may be constraining; steel must be fabricated. Timber, a readily available resource, will not delay your project. YBC's comprehensive pre-construction process is the basis for our on-time delivery of products.
