York Bridge Concepts partnered with Kiawah Island Ocean Park to design and construct a collection of custom timber bridges that enhance mobility, recreation, and the natural beauty of one of the most prestigious resort communities on the East Coast. Located on Kiawah Island, a barrier island approximately 15 miles south of Charleston, South Carolina, the project included three custom Decero™ designed timber bridges that seamlessly integrate into the island's renowned coastal environment.
The bridge collection consists of a signature 70-foot Cassique bridge, a 50-foot pedestrian bridge, and a 30-foot bicycle bridge. Together, these structures provide safe and attractive crossings throughout the community while preserving the natural landscape that defines Kiawah Island.
Designed through York Bridge Concepts' Design-Engineer-Build process, the bridges combine architectural elegance, environmental sensitivity, and long-term durability, creating infrastructure that complements the world-class reputation of Kiawah Island.
