Town Village Vehicular Bridge – Marietta / Kennesaw, GA
YBC teamed with the charming mixed-use development of Town Village because they wanted to establish a main street connection with the nearby bustling retail and entertainment of Town Center Mall. The two community developments were severed due to an expansive creek flood plain. As a result, this significantly increased the challenges of both the design and construction of this 250 foot long double lane vehicular bridge.
In order to meet this challenge, the DeceroTM Design Team used a custom multiple span design including a striking central 80 foot free span. Additionally, they coupled it with transition glulams & corresponding guardrail. This further enhances the bridge’s rolling profile. Overall, the turn-key YBC approach and extensive expertise allowed our team to provide a legacy bridge with minimal impact to the environment. As a final finishing touch, they dressed the bridge in a rich earthy palette that residents will surely enjoy in their daily conveniences. YBC was proud to leave Town Village with a bridge connection unlike any other design.
